Sound Foundation Somerset Festival – 15th, 16th & 17th July, various venues, Taunton

The Streets are Alive with the Sound of Music! On the 15th, 16th & 17th July 2016, venues and outdoor spaces around Taunton will once again be hosting Sound Foundation Somerset’s (Somerset’s Music Education Hub) biennial music festival. Feat: The Children & Young People of Somerset, with Lead Artists Actiontrack Performance Company, in partnership with Jackdaws Music Education Trust, Somerset Music, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, South West Music School, Taunton Music Trust, SPAEDA and Hestercombe Centre for Young Musicians.
Come along and support the talented musicians of the County as they get the opportunity to perform and showcase the skills acquired through their music education. You can even try your hand at playing the Javanese Gamelan, among other inclusive musical experiences on offer, or just put down those heavy shopping bags for a few moments, relax and enjoy some wonderful music making.
You can drop in to any of the events taking place in the centre of Taunton and at the Brewhouse without booking and it is all free. Gather your friends and family together and enjoy a great range of music to get you into that summer groove.
