Ten Pieces II is a nationwide project which aims to open up the world of classical music to 11-14 year olds. Ten classical pieces have been selected to act as a starting point to provide inspiration to develop their creative skills by using the music. You don’t have to be musical to get involved we are looking for creativity from a range of different art forms and inviting responses in any of the following:
– Dance / Movement
– Digital Art or Animation
– Performance Poetry
To be in with the opportunity of having an original piece of work/performance showcased on the BBC Ten Pieces website we require films, sound recordings or stills of secondary age pupils getting creative to be uploaded onto our website(content must be uploaded by an adult, please see website for full guidelines).
But that’s not all, creative submissions received before the 24th March 2016 will be in with a chance of being invited to take part in the BBC Ten Pieces Proms on the 23rd and 24th of July 2016 at the Royal Albert Hall in London! We will even help cover the costs of travel and accommodation to the event.
