Centre for Young Musicians Taunton and LIVE MUSIC NOW are pleased to present these two unique continuing professional development seminars for teachers & TAs of all subjects working with disabled and non-disabled students. There will be a focus on music teaching but techniques covered will be relevant to many subject areas.

Understanding Dyslexia
This seminar aims to help teachers understand Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLDs) the neurological condition of Dyslexia. Following on from last year’s successful seminar on Understanding Autism, this seminar will be delivered by Ruth Garbett from The Cedar Centre, Taunton.     
Progression in Learning for children & young people including those with special educational needs
This seminar explores the ‘Sounds of Intent’ Ofsted-approved framework that can be used to assess the musical development of children & young people with learning difficulties. This seminar will be delivered by Beatrice Hubble, a LIVE MUSIC NOW trainer and mentor, Sounds of Intent practitioner as well as a busy musician and teacher.
