Year of Percussion Finale Concert

One of Britain’s most diverse percussionists, Joby, is best known for his virtuosic performances, daring collaborations, extensive education work, and regularly appears throughout Europe, the USA and beyond.  All the schools performing have received a visit from inspirational percussionist Joby Burgess and taken part a whole school workshop

South West Music School Applications Open for 2015/16

Applications for the Core Programme and Feeder Scheme for all instrumentalists and vocalists are now open. Auditions will take place in Devon, Cornwall, Bristol and Dorset in June. The closing date for applications is Friday 8th May 2015.

Wessex greets Norway concert

On June 13th, young musicians from Hestercombe CYM will be performing in a grand fundraising concert in aid of Children's Hospice South West at St Mary Magdalene Church, Taunton, along with Wessex Male Choir conducted by Katrine Reimers, and Os Vocalis (a ladies choir) from Norway.

Mid Somerset Music Spectacular

From June 15th -17th, Pupils from schools, music clubs and drama groups in Mid Somerset will showcase their musical talents over three performances. Each evening will be unique featuring a different cast with a wide variety of skills and talent on show.
